Almost Famous? Or Maybe Not

Black Cod with MisoI am slow when it comes to tracking incoming links to Rasa Malaysia so it came as a very pleasant surprise when I realized that Serious Eat featured my Nobu-inspired Black Cod with Miso as "Required Eating." I am 11 days too slow, but WOW, that's too nice. :)

I would like to take this opportunity to thank the kind editor at Serious Eat for spotlighting my creation and your link love. Terima kasih banyak banyak (thank you very much in Malay)! Do come back and visit my humble blog again...

On a related note, my idol Chubby Hubby is also featured on Serious Eats. Click here for the complete article to find out what he likes to eat and what he thinks of Malaysian street food. (Hint: If you are a fan of his and a Malaysian, you will love him even more now!)

Talking about link love, one of my favorite food blogs Cookthink also wrote some very kind words about Rasa Malaysia. Hop over there now but please bring along some Kleenex as you will be drooling over their food pictures, so consider yourself warned.

Have a great weekend and happy eating!

Whoa! Your idol is the son of Professor Tommy Koh, Singapore's Ambassador-At-Large at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Anonymous, The Expedited Writer, WMW - thanks. :)

Lydia - indeed it's a great recipe that everyone loves.

Anonymous - I used a Canon 350D or Canon EOS Digital Rebel XT. I bought it less than a month ago; bought behind the curve as it's a lot cheaper. :)

Claude - Thanks! I am only "famous" in Europe because of you; you spotlighted my blog on your website. So, you are the famous one and I am just "almost famous." LOL!

Justmita - welcome and thanks. Will keep them coming.

Simcooks - OMG, is it really? I didn't know that. ;)

rasa

your pics are undeniably wonderful, but so far as this dish is concerned, from the cooking to the presentation, isn't it simply a replica from nobu's cookbook?

Blogger Rasa Malaysia said ... (10:36 PM) :

Pablo - I wish they have featured my other recipes other than Nobu's recipe. Hear you, I got rid of that Snap thingy.

Steamy Kitchen - LOL, I don't think I will ever be on Gourmet magazine.

Budding Cook - nothing to shout about, but it was a nice surprise.

Anonymous - yep, it's Nobu's recipe and yes, I tried to mimick the presentation, but I didn't find that ginger torch thingy so I used the flower bud in my garden. Yes I said in my comment reply above, I wished they had featured my original recipe... ;)
