The Great Wall of China (Jiankou Great Wall / 箭扣长城)

The Great Wall of China (Jiankou Great Wall / 箭扣长城)I came, I climbed, I conquered (despite multiple mishaps and bodily injuries*).

I can't think of any words to describe The Great Wall of China. It's simply beyond words. I was utterly speechless when I reached the top.

Speechless.

Click on the picture above to take a virtual tour of one of the world's greatest ancient wonders. Enjoy!

*I fell four times and injured myself.

I've climbed it twice. It's a lot of fun. You're breathless when you get to the top, but when you do catch your breath, the thrill just makes you want to sing and shout at the top of your lungs :)

How long (distance and time) was the walk? And why were there bodily injuries? Will wait for your photos.

You must be having fun there!

Cool! My parents visit China recently and climbed it as well. My mom said the grade was really steep, like climbing a mountain.

Fantastic photos- looks like an amazing experience. What application/service did you use to put together that slideshow?

Wok and Spoon - I just posted my photos, hope you like them.

Cooking Ninja - Thanks.

Gazard - You must!

Orchidea - I heard Simatai is the most challenging hike. I don't think I can survive it since I felt 4 times on this. LOL.

Meeso - thanks for your kind words. Pictures posted. :)

Techkiee - yes, the pictures don't do any justice.

Lucia - I hope you go there soon and see the Great Wall for yourself.

Bayi - go go fast.

Cynthia - exactly...it's very scenic and beautiful.

Nate 2.0 - yep, although I didn't yell my lungs out as I was in agony for my bodily pain.

Tiga - I didn't track, but it felt forever since I am not much a hiker. Maybe 4 hours (or more) in total up and down.

Big Boys - yes, I did have fun.

CP - it was steep at certain places...it was more like rock climbing instead of hiking.

Mr. T - yes, it was an amazing experience. I use Lightbox 2.0 for the photos.
