Menu for Hope: 3 More Days to Go!

If you haven't yet bought raffle tickets to bid for the fabulous prizes of Menu for Hope 4, now it's time as we only have 3 more days to go until the campaign wraps. As of 12:00 pm PST, we are just a little shy of $40,000, but the final days leading to the end of this campaign is where we see the strong momentum coming in. So, please check out the complete West Coast prize list or the complete prize list at Chez Pim, buy yourself raffle tickets, and win some cool prizes!

NEW WEST COAST PRIZES

UW39UW39 - An autographed copy of Gluten-Free Girl, as well as a big care package of homemade, gluten-free baked goods! Shauna's book "Gluten-Free Girl: How I Found the Food That Loves Me Back...And How You Can Too" is a memoir of learning to eat really well but remains gluten free, and for the baked goods, Shauna and the Chef will be baking a tin full of gluten-free baked goods just for you. Winner can choose what you want! Isn't this fanstastic? To read more about UW39, please click here. If you want to bid on this prize, head over to First Giving now and buy some raffle tickets! Remember, the more raffle tickets you buy, the higher the probability to win the prize.

UW39UW41 - A year's subscription to Gastronomica, which comes in 4 volume: Spring, Summer, Fall, Winter. Gastronomica uses food as an important source of knowledge about different cultures and societies, provoking discussion and encouraging thoughtful reflection on the history, literature, representation, and cultural impact of food. I am a magazine junkie and have all sorts of food, travel, entertainment magazines at home, but I don't have Gastronomica yet. I think I am inclined to bid for this one myself. Any more bidders out there?

SPOTLIGHTS

UW01 - Complete Digital Photography, 4th edition by Ben Long. This book scores 4.5 stars at Amazon and covers everything that you need to know to take great digital photos. As food bloggers, I think we are constantly striving to take better, nicer, and droolsome pictures to lure our readers and I bet this book will help us making our blogs even more yummylicious. I, for one, need proper education in digital photography so I can use those fancy buttons on my DSLR camera (other than "P" and the wheel!). *wink*

UW07 - A beautiful set of "Drink of the Week" Cocktail Notecards by Married..with Dinner. I love taking pictures and have always wanted to do my own collection of food pictures, and this set of notecards is exactly that. Comprising of 20 different images (including a number of award-winning images), this prize is available for worldwide shipping.

UW21 - Gift Basket consists of Fruit Basket Waist Apron, two bottles of Fee Brothers Bitters, a jar of Willow Pond Farm Rosemary Jelly, a wedge of Gouda Boere Kaas from Winchester Cheese, and some Choco-LA LA Fair Trade Chocolates! This is a fabulous prize. To learn more about what you can get, please click here.

UW35 - A delicious and aromatic 1/2 pound Blue Bottle coffee made in San Francisco, a pretty new mug to enjoy your coffee, and a yummy home-made baked goods (anything you want) made to specific dietary restrictions: vegan, gluten-free, extra butter, etc. I think those coffee beans alone are worth buying the raffle tickets for!

That's it for today, so go and ring up more $$$ with your generous donation by buying raffle tickets to support the school lunch program in Lesotho, Africa.

Thank you very much and let's make this year's Menu for Hope an even bigger success!
