Rasa Malaysia Featured in The New Straits Times

Savouring the Taste of Malaysia, The New Straits Times, May 26, 2008Rasa Malaysia was featured in The New Straits Times, one of the two largest English newspapers in Malaysia. To read the article (complete with a giant picture of me sitting on top of the Rasa Malaysia homepage with a "quote" WOW!), please click here. My long-time loyal reader and supporter Toni Xe of KL Makan also kindly captured a picture of the newspaper for me. To read it on print, please click here.

Is it just me or newapaper adds 10 pounds to my face?! I have always thought that I have a melon seed face...well, I guess not! If I ever appear on TV, I am sure it will add 30 pounds, as this woman once claimed.

I only wished that my late mother get to see this article...

Anyway, thanks to Rozana Sani at The New Straits Times for writing up this nice feature. What a great way to start off the week!

Congratulations! I agree that newspaper photos hardly ever do a person justice. Glossy magazines do a much better job...and I wouldn't be surprised if you were featured in one soon. :)

So nice to read the article :D Aiya...that is why a lot of celebrities work so hard to be below avg build-and-frame so that they appear "just nice" for the camera and newspaper or any other media, But again, there are professional photographers (like yourself) out there that can do magic - knows the best angle to capture perfect shot.
But one thing never change, your beautiful smile... 笑容很美很灿烂

I am sure you will have a cookbook deal soon. I can't imagine any publishers who would pass up an opportunity of working on a cookbook with you. Your blog itself is a "living and breathing" cookbook. I have tried many of your recipes and they absolutely work and never fail to impress...plus you already have ten of thousands of readers who would support you if and when you publish a cookbook.

I root for you Rasa Malaysia. Good luck!

What an accomplishment! I think your late mother DID get to see the article, but from heaven above. Even without the article, I am sure that she was the proudest mom in the world. Thank you for sharing the recipes and stories about your mother and Malaysia with us Bee.
